Cellfield Remedial Reading Treatment

Gains in reading skills of between 12 – 24 months, in 2 weeks of treatment!

Reading is not a static skill; it should improve with practice and age. For each year that passes, children’s reading ability should improve by 12 months.

Children with reading difficulties usually improve less than a year with each year that passes, and the gap widens between where they should be, and where they are.

The causes of reading disabilities involve auditory, visual and motor functions. Traditional methods of tuition treat each of these causes separately, offering limited benefits.

Recent brain scanning research shows auditory, visual and motor functions must be activated and co-ordinated simultaneously. This allows the neural bonds between letters and sound combinations to develop, which is vital to the reading process.

How does Cellfield work?

The Cellfield intervention is a computer based treatment, consisting of 10 one hour sessions conducted over a period of a 2 – 3 weeks. Psychometric tests conducted before and after treatment measure the improvement.

Cellfield’s unique approach simultaneously targets the primary causal areas, namely auditory, visual and motor functions with proven, powerful results. Clever software design expands working memory, strengthens attention, and improves reading related motor functions.

Average comprehension gains of a year, and decoding gains of almost two years have been established in less than a month of Cellfield intervention.*

*Peer reviewed and published study of 262 subjects who completed Cellfield Intervention, Australian Journal of Learning Disabilities. Volume 10, 2005

The Cellfield concept of simultaneous targeting is proving effective in areas other than reading. Some parents report improvements in spoken and expressive language, handwriting, maths, balance and co-ordination.
